Links On This Page:Extraordinary Ministers of Holy CommunionPurpose of This MinistryThe purpose of the Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion is to assist the priests as lay persons in the distribution of Holy Communion. This ministry is a very important part of the Liturgy. Each minister is chosen for their devotion to the Eucharist. It is one of the most spiritual and satisfying things that one can do for their fellow parishioners and for themselves. How Can One Become Involved in This Ministry?Training is provided twice a year or as needed. Announcements for forthcoming training dates will be posted in the Sunday bulletin or here on our website under announcements and on our website calendar. Volunteers are asked at which Sunday service Mass they would like to participate and teams are formed accordingly. There are 17 teams with 11 members each, including a team leader. In order to be a extraordinary minister of Holy Communion one needs to meet the following qualifications:
