Immediately following the Mass, Greenwood Mayor Charles Henderson officially proclaimed November 19, 2010 "Our Lady of the Greenwood Catholic School Day."

After the mayor's proclamation, students, staff, families, and guests gathered at the school, as they raised the Blue Ribbon School's flag to celebrate this special award.

Principal Kent Clady said "None of us earned this award alone, it was really a team effort. The students work to their potential, and parents and parishioners are committed to Catholic education. The positive relationship between school staff and parents allows us to accomplish so much more."
